The Lycée Français de Manille is recruiting an American English teacher!

Under the authority of the Head of School and in alignment with the school’s educational project, your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching English as a modern foreign language in accordance with the official French curriculum for middle and high school

• Teaching American Language and Literature (LLA) in the International Section

• Teaching Advanced Cultural and Linguistic Studies (ACL) and “Knowledge of the World” in the French International Baccalaureate (BFI)

• Designing and implementing a variety of teaching sequences

• Assessing students in line with competency frameworks and monitoring their progress

• Preparing students for French national examinations (DNB and Baccalauréat)

• Participating in parent-teacher meetings, class councils, pedagogical meetings, and professional development sessions

• Contributing to interdisciplinary, linguistic, and educational projects within the school

• Supporting students in their academic pathway and career guidance

• Actively participating in school life and contributing to the outreach and reputation of LFM

Profile

We are looking for a dynamic and committed teacher capable of teaching American English (experience in teaching LLA in the International Section, as well as ACL and “Knowledge of the World” within the BFI framework, is expected).

A degree in the subject taught is strongly preferred. Experience in a school within the French education network abroad, as well as experience in a North American cultural, linguistic, and literary context, will be particularly valued.

Located near the economic heart of the capital, the Lycée Français de Manille is an AEFE-accredited school within the French international education network, welcoming 320 students from preschool to high school.
