Mission
Under the authority of the Head of School and in line with the school’s educational project, your responsibilities will include:

Teaching History-Geography and Civic and Moral Education (EMC) in accordance with the official French curriculum for middle and high school

Teaching the HGGSP (History, Geography, Geopolitics and Political Science) specialty in the final years of high school
-
Teaching History-Geography in the American International Section at both middle and high school levels, particularly within the BFI (French International Baccalaureate)
-
Teaching “Knowledge of the World” within the BFI program
-
Being able to teach History-Geography as a non-linguistic discipline (DNL)
-
Designing and implementing varied teaching sequences
-
Promoting civic engagement and critical thinking
-
Assessing students in line with competency frameworks and monitoring their progress
-
Preparing students for French national examinations (DNB, Baccalauréat)
-
Participating in parent-teacher meetings, class councils, pedagogical meetings, and training activities
-
Contributing to interdisciplinary, civic, and educational projects within the school
-
Supporting students in their academic pathways and career guidance
-
Actively participating in school life and contributing to the outreach and reputation of LFM
Profile
We are looking for a dynamic and committed teacher, capable of teaching History-Geography in the American section (prior experience teaching in this section is expected).
A degree in the subject taught is strongly preferred. Likewise, experience in a school within the French international education network and experience teaching the HGGSP specialty will be highly valued.
