International Women's Rights Day

On the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, the librarians of Eurocampus Manila (Lala Gamboa - Lejeune for LFM and Sofia Mangilog for GESM) organized a joint exhibition of women who have made history in the lobby of the high school.

Students from CE1 to CM2 received a quiz on 6 famous women. This was an opportunity for our students to research the actions of these women.

School Life also offered two versions of video-docs for elementary and high school students on Olympe de Gouges, who was one of the first feminist activists in French history.

These short videos of a few minutes have helped to raise awareness of the theme of equality between boys (men) and girls (women) and to remind them of the battles that have been fought and the progress that remains to be made. On this topic, the 2022 theme focuses on professional equality between men and women:

• the elimination of the pay gap between women and men, by equivalent job category and age group

• the same chance of getting a raise for women as for men

• the same chance of promotion for women as for men

• a guaranteed salary increase upon return from maternity leave

• parity among the 10 highest salaries

The day of the Antiquity

It is with great pleasure that the Latin students of the LFM invite you to their 3rd edition of the Antiquity Day, which will take place on Thursday, March 31st.

During this day, students and teachers are invited to come to the school dressed in ancient fashion (Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Gaulish, Persian... choose what suits you best!).

Animations around civilization games will take place in the morning as well as an antique costume contest. This contest is open to students from CM2 to Terminale only. A photo shoot and a presentation of his antique character are necessary to choose the winner! The contest will be judged from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. (designation of the winner in the afternoon).

In the afternoon of the same day, from 12:40 pm to 3:20 pm, the 3rd LFM Ancient Games will take place, during which 6 great cities of antiquity will compete in ancient sports disciplines, such as javelin throwing, arms racing, etc. Marc Pinchart, our physical education and sports teacher, has trained the "athletes" of the 5ème, 4ème and 3ème classes for a month to offer you a great show!

The week of the Francophonie

Now that the majority of our students have returned to campus, the LFM is organizing its traditional Week of the Francophonie from March 14 to 18. It will take place over 4 days with a daily theme.

Themes are being prepared and will be communicated to you in more detail the week of the return to school.

REGISTRATION FOR THE GREAT DICTATION FOR ADULTS

During French Language and Literature Day, a "The Great Dictation" contest will be held! It will take place from 9:40 to 10:30 am in the Campus Auditorium on Thursday, March 17.

Twenty-eight students will participate in this contest (4 finalists per class from CM2 to Première), selected according to their score in dictation and divided into three categories "CADETS", "JUNIORS" and "JUNIORS+".

There is also a 4th category, "SENIORS", which is open to senior students and adults belonging to the LFM community.

We invite you, Terminale students, parents and teachers to participate!
